What President Took the Longest Vacation? (And Other Fun Facts)

What President Took the Longest Vacation? (And Other Fun Facts). This is a fun article over at the History News Network.

I did not know that President Madison took a four month vacation. And this was in the days before phones and e-mail! Swift action from the President would have been tough.

And President John Adams spent seven months on his farm to be with his sick wife. The article notes, "Enemies joked that he had abdicated."
