You can hear President Calvin Cooldige's actual voice from 1928 in this YouTube video. He does not sound like I had imagined him to sound like.

Well, he sounds like an old time Vermont farmer to me.
Witness to History has some sound files and a couple of days ago, I listened to Theodore Roosevelt.
I believe that the sound system that was available then made the voices sound a bit higher and shriller - like the black and white movies of the late '20's early '30's.
BTW thanks for your contribution to my college tales!
