Red Dress Exhibit

The travelling red dress collection will be at the National First Ladies Library for the next 6 months. This collection is being used to raise awareness of heart disease, which is the number one killer of women. There will be dresses on display from Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, Rosalynn Carter, Betty Ford and Lady Bird Johnson.

The dress from Mrs. Ford is described as such:
Mrs. Ford's red crepe Neiman Marcus suit with its flared skirt was one of her favorites, and was worn many times throughout her husband's Presidency.

You can get a close up of each dress at the website I've linked if you can't make the exhibit in Canton, Ohio. The collection was last at the Reagan Library where Nancy Reagan unveiled the exhibit.
