Tweeting with John Quincy Adams

Okay, I don't do twitter, but I know many out there do. Well, guess who is tweeting now? John Quincy Adams!

Okay, obviously, not really, but the Massachusetts Historical Society has started a project to share John Quincy and his diary of his trip to Russia with the world. The MHS blog gives an idea of just how popular this has become! It is wonderful to see the world enjoying history!

The MHS is tweeting pieces from John Quincy's diary 200 years from the day he wrote it. So, for instance, today's tweet is:
Fair day and fine wind. Lat: 45-23. Long: 50-37. Eve'g off the Bank- Lives of Themistocles and Camillus. (map)

The links show the GPS position using Google maps. What a great use of technology!
