Nixon and Disney

I was watching Mickey Mouse with my son this morning, hence I decided to look for a picture of a US president with Walt Disney for you all. This was taken in June of 1959 when Nixon was still Vice President. You can also read his remarks on the Walt Disney Commemorative Medal in 1969.

My favorite part of the Nixon at Disneyland story was the Secret Service agents being left behind at the monorail station while Nixon rode the monorail. They were apparently nervous and pacing when he returned and laughed at them and said, "You should have seen the look on your faces!!!"
