Is your Thanksgiving menu set? Here is a list of White House menus, including the Obamas for this year. In 1879, you could have had "tea and toast!"
President Rutheford B. Hayes invited a group of Republicans over for "a little tea and toast," and to sing hymns. The president later called the evening, "as enjoyable as a first-class agricultural fair," the newspaper said.
