Hank Aaron

Did you know that Hank Aaron campaigned for Kennedy?  Pretty neat!  I saw this on Facebook from the Kennedy Library as Aaron turned 79 yesterday.  I love the library feeds on FB - if you haven't tried it yet, I encourage it!

They point out the last line of Kennedy's letter to Aaron, which is pretty neat:
I hope to see you push that average up over the .300 mark now that the hot weather is here.  You seem to be doing well.

Love the blog guys, keep up the good work!

I just wanted to point out a mistake in the wording when you refer to Aaron's age. "He would have been 79 yesterday" makes it seem like he has passed away. But the Hammerin Hank is still alive and well (from what I know).

I fixed it...that's what I get for posting on the run! I think when I read the JFK library's post I thought it said he was deceased (which honestly I thought was funny, but as I don't keep up, I figured I was wrong!), but I checked again and no, it didn't. Plus I did check online and he's alive. Just me messing up! Thanks for pointing it out!
